CPS Student Council
Setanta's student council is a committee that gives a voice to our students. Each member is elected by their peers to represent their class. In general, two students are elected per rang. The student council meets every Wednesday to discuss the issues that have been brought up around the college as well as organizing college events. We work with Ms Buckley, Ms Synan and the management team to make our college as an enjoyable and safe a place as possible for all members of our community.
Our council strives to give a platform for students voices to be heard to implement changes in our school. The council is made of & for the students and so we understand how difficult things can get sometimes, and we wholeheartedly desire to makes the students’ lives a little easier by solving problems little by little.
During the school year we organise numerous events such as non-uniform days etc. but the main event on our calendar is Multicultural Week which runs in December. Our Food Hall and Multicultural Fashion Show have become very popular whole school events and are enjoyed by all members of our school community, staff and students alike.
We are our proud of our many achievements over the last number of years including a new school tracksuit bottom, a new school uniform trousers for girls & the introduction of student cards.
