Incoming First Years 2023 - Information for Parents/Guardians
Welcome to all students, parents & guardians of the incoming class of 2023. Below is some important information about preparing for your child's journey in Colaiste Pobail Setanta. In order to get set up for second level, you will need to be able to access the following:

Purchasing your School Device – Wriggle
As per the college AUP, the device used by students in the college must be purchased through the Wriggle store.
The Wriggle store will open on Tuesday 28th March and will close on Wednesday 14th of June.
Included in the college bundle;
- Lenovo 300W 128GB, 3 year warranty and pen included - €549
- Extreme L-shell hardcover device protector – €50
- Wriggle Services and Support for 3 years €120. 3-year Device Management license included. See your full list of Wriggle support services here.
- Educational apps (chosen by school) preloaded to your device
- FREE access to 100s of short training videos in safely using technology for learning for parents and students on Wriggle Connect Family+. Get more information here
- Insurance offering available at time of purchase or alternatively at wriggle.ie/parents/insurance-repairs/
A late fee of €50 will apply to devices purchased after this date. Wriggle cannot guarantee that devices purchased after the closing date of June 14th will be delivered before school begins in August. It is advised that parents/guardians make the purchase of their device as soon as possible to avoid delays and/or disappointment.

Humm by Flexifi monthly financing option
Wriggle also provide a Flexifi financing option through their parter Humm where parents/guardians can arrange a monthly payment plan for their child's device instead of an upfront full payment. This works out at approx €25-€30 per month over a duration of 36 months. More information about this service can be found here

Device Insurance
Device insurance is an optional extra when purchasing your child's device, however, it is HIGHLY reccommended that an insurance policy is taken out for a device. This policy covers the cost in replacing or repairing products as a result of Theft, Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage. Loss Cover is available to add for a small additional premium. Insurance is available through Gadget Insurance as part of the Wriggle ordering process or afterwards at the following link.
Wriggle Connect Family
Wriggle are providing free access to the Wriggle Connect Family+ Platform for all parents/guardians of incoming first years and for students themselves. This provides students and their families with access to over 1000 tutorial videos to help you get the most from your device including;
- Device setup and security

- Applying Parental Restrictions
- Checking Screentime
- Wellbeing & Resilience Skills
- Uploading Homework Online
- Digital Study Skills
- eBook activation guides
- Accessibility tools for learning
- Tutorials on all your school learning apps
Access to the Wriggle Connect Family+ platform comes as part of our device purchase and an email will issue from Wriggle with your account details once your device order has been completed. You will have access to the platform for at least one year.
DDLETB/Wriggle 1-1 Webinars
Wriggle & DDLETB will hold the first webinar for incoming parents next Tuesday 25th April at 7pm & Tuesday 2nd May. This event will be held online using Microsoft Teams, you do not need a Microsoft account to join the event.

The webinar will introduce the 1-1 device programme in DDLETB & go through some of the supports available as part of the 1-1 programme. It will include an option to ask questions through a Q&A chat feature. This is an optional webinar but it is highly recommended in order to gain a better understanding of the 1-1 programme in Colaiste Pobail Setanta.

Purchasing Textbooks/Ebooks
Parents are not obliged to purchase textbooks at the time of purchasing the school device. Parents can purchase textbooks online via Book Haven or through any school book store. Physical textbooks will come with an ebook code inside the front cover which students can use to add the ebook to their devices.

To avoid disappointment, parents are asked not to purchase any textbooks for options subjects until the options have been released by the college at the end of May.
School Uniform

- College crested jacket only. No other jackets should be worn in the college.
- Students must wear black shoes & non-marking trainers for PE

Communication between School & Home
- School Journal – please check your childs journal each night
- VS Ware – Parents issued with Username & Passwords to view Semester Reports, Timetables, Behaviour notes & Attendance, students issued with their own details to view Timetables.

College Calendar.
All the information you need about events that are taking place in the College are available from our online calendar located on our website, https://cpsetanta.ie/Calendar.
Enrol/MIT Payments System
All other school fees are paid online through the MIT system. No payments are made to or taken by office staff in the college. MIT provide our school with it's own unique payment site found by clicking here or on the main homepage of the school website. Parents can create their own account username & password. Information on creating your Enrol/MIT account can be found here. Please keep these details in a safe place as they will be required for the duration of your child's time in the college.
VSWare App
VSWare is the app/website the college uses to publish student timetables, student behaviour records and student reports at the end of each semester. Parents can create their own account to view their child(ren)'s progress in the college. The VSWare app can be downloaded from your app store for ease of access.
