Semester 2 Week 11

Welcome Back 6th Years.

Today we welcome back our 6th Year students after 2 months of remote teaching and learning. We have all been looking forward to this day and are delighted to have our 6th Year students back in the building.

All the information needed regarding our return to school has been posted to our website and sent through the College App to the parents/guardians of our 6th year students. It is very important that this information is heeded and acted upon for all of our safety.

It is essential that the Return to Educational Facility Declaration is completed by all parent/guardians prior to any students returning to school. This was sent as a link on the App last week and a hard copy can be found on our website also using the link above.

Whole School Inservice

Tomorrow, Tuesday 2/3/2021, is a whole staff in-service and as a result there will be no classes tomorrow either in school or by remote teaching and learning. This date has been in our calendar since before the start of the school year and we have to fulfil this training as part of our commitment to the JCT. Classes will resume on Wednesday 3/3/21.

Semester 2 Assessments.

Our students and teachers are currently taking part in our Semester 2 Assessments. The results of the Semester 2 Assessments will be published to parents/guardians on March 25th . Please ensure that you have your Parent/Guardian VS Ware Login Details to access the results and have a conversatio0n about them with your son/daughter.

State Exams.

There is a lot of information regarding the State Exams to be read and digested on the SEC and DoES websites. I will share a PowerPoint with parents/guardian on our website later today which will make it a little clearer.

Mock Exams

With the canmcellation of the Mock Leaving and Mock Junior Cert Exams, we are currently reimbursing all parents and guardian who had paid for their children’s mocks. This process should be completed this week.

Some sad news.

It is with a heavy heart that I am informing our College Community of the passing of one of our past students, Alva Nuvoloni’s , mother, Rena. Alva was in 2nd Year Rang Fionn and had moved to Tipperary just before the Christmas Break. Ms. Galbraith and Ms. O’Donovan are informing Alva’s classmates today. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam
