The Junior Cycle results are due out next Wednesday, November 23rd.

This is an important milestone in every students educational experience and here in Coláiste Pobail Setanta we will mark the event as set out below.

5th years and TYs are not in school that day. However, they will be invited in together with their parents, to the Sports Hall for the presentation of the results at 12.30pm-1.30pm on Nov 23rd. We are due to receive paper copies for each individual student that morning in addition to the online release of results later that day. These will be presented to students at the event.

Students and parents can enter through the back entrance to the Sports Hall, from the outside next to Home Ec. Room 2. There will be signs out to help direct. To minimise exam disruption, we will ask people not enter the main school building.

Lámh at Coláiste Pobail Setanta

Lamh is the sign language we are promoting in our school for students who have difficulties communicating verbally. Some of our students are non-verbal and we need them to feel accepted and comfortable in our school. For that reason there is going to be a lamh sign communicated to our students in every assembly, tutorial and class for the whole school to use throughout the day so that it becomes our norm and not just something we try to remember when we meet one of our friends that has communication difficulties.

The Week after exams Lamh signs are DOOR, TO COUNT, TIDY UP, NAME. Please see videos attached.

DOOR - (580) Lámh Sign For DOOR - YouTube

TO COUNT - (580) Lámh Sign For TO COUNT - YouTube

TIDY UP - (580) Lámh Sign For TIDY UP - YouTube

NAME - (580) Lámh Sign For Name - YouTube

Students can try put these signs together into a sentence.
